We’re here to help you understand your own needs, your baby's cues and how to make confident feeding and parenting decisions.

Your Newborn: Feeding, Caring & Responding

The first weeks can feel overwhelming. We'll give you the opportunity to practice and discuss the practical realities of life with a newborn.

We'll explore:
Caring for your baby's skin and umbilical cord
Bathing and nappy changing
Understanding newborn behaviour
Responsive parenting
Looking after yourself as a new parent
Where to find trustworthy information and support
The first hours and days with your newborn
Understanding what your newborn needs from you
We'll also look at how babies learn through their earliest experiences and why responding to their cues from the beginning can help build confidence for both parent and baby.

What makes us different?

We know you'll receive support and care from your Midwife, Early Days Workers and Health Visiting teams.

Our programme is not here to replace these, but to complement that care by providing dedicated time to explore nutrition, infant feeding and responsive approaches in greater depth.

In small group sessions or 1:1’s we practice practical skills with hands-on experience and build confidence before your baby arrives.

You will also have access to WhatsApp messaging throughout your time on the course.
